We’re delighted to introduce to Cheryl Potter’s newest book, The Broken Circle – Yarns of the Knitting Witches. This is book one of a trilogy–a fiber filled fantasy with a companion pattern book.

You and your customers can follow the twelve knitting witches through adventures fraught with mayhem and mischief and knit your way through 21 patterns as the Potluck witches seek to save their world.

Potluck Yarn Pattern Book

Each chapter of the beautifully illustrated and photographed pattern book features a magical garment that figures prominently in the story. Because we wanted to offer a larger format, full-color pattern book with beautiful photos and easy-to-read charts.

We designed this volume, with the goal of adding a healthy mix of fiber to your fantasy.

distributed by Unicorn Books

We trust that these designs will please your imagination and your creative impulses even if you are discovering this pattern book without having read the story that goes with them, although we commend it to you as a way to enrich your knitting experience.

The Broken Circle – Yarns of the Knitting Witches and the companion pattern book are distributed by Unicorn Books. The books will be featured in their booth at TNNA in February.

Reviews

“Potter spins a lovely yarn that is, in a word, magical.

The Potluck Yarn Trilogy is a brand-new way of looking at storytelling–the unique patterns and illustrations make this well-crafted tale.”

–Rachael Herron author of
the international bestseller A Life in Stitches

“Not only is The Broken Circle a well-plotted fantasy, but Potter adds swoon-worthy descriptions of yarns and knitting projects that will have any knitter reaching for her needles. There is much to explore in this richly detailed world, enhanced not only by charming illustrations but by the companion book of knitting patterns!”

–Jessica Day George author of Tuesdays at the Castle

“The Broken Circle, first book in the trilogy, is a good read with a fast moving plot rolling smoothly through a rich and varied landscape. Its knitted accessories, detailed in the accompanying pattern book, should give ample inspiration, especially to those who have yet to become knitters.

I think the combo is a great idea and you definitely want the patterns separate because of the nature of patterns. Culinary mysteries can include recipes, but knitting patterns are more demanding.”

–Anna Zilboorg author of Knitting For Anarchists

“I did get your books today and they do look beautiful. The artwork is so totally excellent. And I totally love the color map in the pattern book – I am a sucker for maps and this one is especially good. It looks old and real.”

Cat Bordhi – author of Socks Soar on Two Circular Needles:
a Manual of Elegant Knitting and Patterns
