The Painted Lace Skirt
The Painted Lace Skirt design calls for undyed hanks of Supersock Lace and Dye Kits which are the Cherry Tree Hill Dye Samplers, available at Indie Dyer.
The Painted Lace Skirt gathered a lot of attention at the TNNA fashion show earlier this year. So much in fact that Cheryl Potter of Cherry Tree Hill will be teaching the technique at STITCHES shows this year.
Cheryl's also working on a smaller project using the same painted lace technique. It's a Supersock beret called the Painted Tam.
If your guild, club or local yarn store wants to host a class, just let me know.
The Painted Lace Skirt takes 6 hanks for the size small, 7 hanks for a medium and 8 for a large. You can adjust the sizes further with the elastic waist band.
This is an exciting and fun way to create your own wearable art garments.
The Supersock Lace blanks, Dye Kit Samplers and pattern are available at IndieDyer.com. The pattern is also available at The SupersockStore.com.
